Kgaotsang is a Partner at MORIBAME MATTHEWS, a firm of Attorneys of which she is a founding member, established in June 2007. She graduated from the University of Botswana with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) in 2001, and is now on her 15th year of practice as a private Legal Practitioner.
She started her legal career at the Attorney General’s Chambers in the Civil Litigation Department and worked there for two years primarily doing Civil Litigation work, and acting for and on behalf of the Government of Botswana in civil litigation matters. She then moved to private practice where she gained a solid foundation of Property transactions as well as Corporate/Commercial transactions, and she now heads the Conveyancing / Property department at Moribame Matthews, and jointly with the other founding member of Moribame Matthews, jointly oversees the Corporate/ Commercial Department. Her primary responsibilities at Moribame Matthews include the preparation, examination and registration of all documents regarding conveyancing and notarial work, as well as preparing and conclusion of agreements commercial transactions. Kgaotsang also provides legal advisory work to the Firm’s clientele.
Kgaotsang is a citizen of Botswana, and 39 years of age. Over and above her duties as a Partner the Law Firm, Kgaotsang is involved in social responsibility charity work as a Trustee of the Botswana Book Center. She is currently the Chairperson of Symphony Health Board of Trustees, as well a Council Member of Northside School. She is also a member of the newly established Special Economic Zones Authority (SEZA).
